i would like to see a category called plugins

A category for these forums?  If so, suggestions for this website go to the 'Site Suggestions' board.

Also, do you really mean a category or a forum board?

I think we're okay with the eoCMS Suggestions and Plugins board at the moment. Making two seperate boards means having to move a whole load of topics and needs new rules and means more to moderate. If the rest of eoCMS agrees, we'll stick to how we have it.

Yes stick to this for now, once Paul and I have worked out how to have sibling installations, that board will go, and it will be moved to the Mods DB site

I agree in that maybe it's okay to leave it as it is for now.  There is no active development of plugins at this time by third-parties.  When that starts happening, though, having a separate area for discussion of plugin development, and for plugin support and requests would be ideal.
