James was taling about that , that he's website sudenly dosen't work
  And asked me , he was thinking about that I did it.
Soo i cleared my thots and thinked about it.
   And i maybe know the answer we both know well ( James & Me ) that confuser visited my and james site.
And in some whay posted a post in my forum as a guest but whit administrator rights
soo i think he was on your's web too and seen that you have changet copy rights ,about who made this cms and link tho website [Powered By eoCMS]
I respected this and left untouched but you changet it to [ Powered By James ]
soo i think answer is pretty simple don't do that any more.
And this I think could be warning to other's too

I did not have administration rights, its a bug that merely outputs the text "Admin". By removing the link back to eoCMS.com you are removing the attribution which is a required as per the Creative Commons. This can be waivered by asking me, soon I will add a system so you are able to waiver the need to having the Powered By eoCMS at the bottom of the footer by paying a small one off fee. Also changing it to Powered By James but keeping the link to eoCMS.com is perfectly fine as my name is James too

Yes, and we do not support sites that void the license, as that clearly means you do not respect us or the software we offer.

or maybe they just dont want people to know what software they are running, so as to lessen the "hack threat"..

ye but i changed it to james but still had a link to eocms on the site just not in the footer

plus the site says it has a problem connecting to the database so that would be from 110mb


edit: plus if the theme is made by you then u should be able to change it and then just have a link somewere else on the site

First of all, by having "Powered By James" you are basically saying YOU made the software, which is not the case. Everything made for eoCMS must fall under our license, meaning you must have a visible link to eoCMS (not disguised) somewhere on the site. If you make a theme, nobody is denying you own that theme, but that doesn't give you the right to remove or replace our copyright.

edit: also the link is shown because i placed it in the user info section also in the profile section

IF you read the license http://eocms.com/license.html you will see that it states all themes and mods are released under the same license as eoCMS unless otherwise stated within the theme or mod

It's not an issue with eoCMS, it's an issue with 110mb and your database connection.

But you might want to change it back anyway.

No, it just means it needs to be released to meet our license requirements. Meaning you can't take that mod, strip it of any eoCMS accreditation, and then distribute it.

This made me think... on SMF there's a little message in the footer saying something along the lines of 'Using DilberMC' or whichever theme you might be using. Could this be done somehow?

I asked confuser about embedding a system that will disable eoCMS is the copyright is removed, he has yet to respond.

When you will make this embed thing i would probably donate some thing to get off the powered by in legal way , but ofcorse leave some things or links about what is this cms
