When updating to the new version 1.0.0 please backup these forums user database. I don't like starting from scratch,

I don't think it's going anywhere, as we don't particularly want to lose nearly 6000 posts. (apart from mine, because they're mostly pointless )

I think he means like on his site.  Which we should have an upgrade option which will allow for the forum to maintain itself.

If you look here, you can get a vague idea of what the splash screen will look like, in particular notice the Upgrade button .
